It's strange, but a few years ago, I sort of stopped listening to new releases by my favourite artists. Even years later, I still look at all the releases I missed and I find myself hesitant to give them a first listen.
I do listen to new music in general of course, I keep adding new artists to my collection, too. It's not like I'll only listen to songs that were released before 2010 or something. But when it comes to the old favourites, it's like part of me is scared to be disappointed by newer releases or to not like them as much as the older ones, especially if I missed out on multiple albums due to life circumstances.
So yeah, I guess, in a sense, with some artists I did stop listening to them around 2010, lol. That said, I am mildly hyped by the upcoming release of Worst Girl in America by Slayyyter this Friday. The singles released so far slap really hard and I have high hopes that I'll like at least 50% of the album, lol.
