Union Strikes...

It's so difficult to not be annoyed at the 9th strike in the public transport sector this year. Of course I want the bus and train drivers to be paid adequately and to have proper working conditions, but as someone who absolutely relies on public transport due to a lack of driver's license (for monetary and health reasons) it kind of sucks. I'll have to walk 1 ½ miles to work, tomorrow morning at 5:45 am, because of the lack of bus connection caused by the strike.

I sure hope they get a proper offer for pay and work conditions soon because this is annoying. And I'm not even mad at the bus drivers themselves, I'm mad at their employers (who keep trying to guilt the drivers because they "harm the customers with the strike". Yeah, well, duh, it's not like they can pull leverage out of their ass.)

I'm also miffed that the announcement was made only 9h ago. For some people that's very short notice to figure something out that isn't a taxi (which isn't exactly cheap either.)
